KAREN BOYES PARENT NIGHT - MONDAY 22 JUNE 7 - 8.30 PM. TGHS STAFF ROOM
Karen Boyes is a well known education presenter both in NZ and abroad. She is passionate about education and helping young people to get the most out of their schooling years. Karen will be speaking to our senior students on Monday 22 June and she is holding a PARENTS' SESSION at 7pm on MONDAY 22 JUNE, which will cover the following:Future Proofing Your Child In a busy, fast paced, changing world where change is the only constant and knowledge is easily accessible, the concern bubbling up is how to ensure your child is truly prepared for the real world. The 21st century skills are very different skills from when we were at school. Many are just common sense. However this is not so common.
Timaru Girls' High came a convincing second behind Timaru Boys' at the Inter-school Archery competition hosted by TBHS on Tuesday.
Special mention must go to our TGHS Junior A team who beat Geraldine in the final of the Junior Grade.
The girls have shown great team work, sportsmanship and commitment over the season and thoroughly deserved their win. Special mention also to the girls’ coaches, senior students Hannah Paul and Brooke Howey-Beattie who did a fantastic job coaching the girls.
Wishing everybody a safe and happy school break.
