A wide range of cultural opportunities are offered to all students. These activities are run by HOD of Performing Arts and Student Leaders. Girls are encouraged to explore and develop their talents either individually e.g Solo Singing or as part of a group e.g. Stage Challenge.

Musical productionsA combined musical production with Timaru Boys’ High School is performed annually. Each school alternates responsibility for producing and hosting this event.
Every alternate year Timaru Girls’ High School enters Stage Challenge.
Students are offered music tuition in a range of instruments instrument from the pool of itinerant music tutors.
Timaru Girls' High School Chorale won the Isabel Chetwin Cup for the most improved Choir at the Big Sing held in Dunedin on Wednesday 18 June 2014. Along with this award our Teacher in Charge of Music, Suzanne White, was awarded a $500 conductors award to attend a chorale conference. We are extremely proud of our Chorale.
