Learning support programmes are in place at all levels.

For pupils studying at Scholarship level a specially designed programme is provided.

We provide support for individual pupils and small groups in reading and mathematics.

Where English is a second language specialised tuition is incorporated in the pupil’s learning programme. A special needs suite is housed in a purpose built facility.

The provision of the many study choices for pupils is an integral element in the educational philosophy of Timaru Girls’ High School. It is designed to encourage and build on the pupil’s sense of ‘self’ and personal responsibility allowing and encouraging them to explore their full potential.
