International Student Fees 2012

TUITION: $NZ 11,500

This covers normal tuition, textbooks (on loan), access to School Library facilities, access to internet & email, school camps, orientation, recreational opportunities, English language classes, annual New Zealand Government Education levy (NZ $430), Learning to play an instrument as part of the school's itinerant music program (Singing & Piano lessons cost extra)   

Activity Fees: Year 9 & Year 10 NZ $1,350,  Years 11, 12 & 13 NZ $1,850 

These cover administration costs associated with enrolment, Airport pick-up from Christchurch International Airport, class trips, sporting trips, cultural activities, external examinations, eg IELTS, NCEA levels 1, 2 & 3.

Homestay Fees: NZ $220 per week (NZ $10,120 per year)

46 weeks (4 school terms plus 6 weeks school holidays) If a student intends to stay for a full calendar year a further six weeks (NZ $1,320) will be required.

Hostel Fees: NZ $260 per week (NZ $11,960 per year)

46 weeks (4 school terms plus 6 weeks school holidays homestay) Includes meals, linen, laundry, activity fees (Covers weekend activity expenses as they occur)

Uniform (New): NZ $950

Includes: Summer Uniform of 1 Skirt, 1 Jersey, socks & 3 Shirts and Winter Uniform of 1 Kilt, 3 Winter Shirts, Tie, Knee High Socks, Shoes, Physical Education Uniform (Shorts & Top)

Insurance (Compulsory) NZ $510

This covers the student from her hometown to New Zealand and return to her home country. The policy covers baggage and travel insurance as well as comprehensive health insurance. Upon payment the school can arrange this on the student‟s behalf. The cost is $510 for coverage for a full year

Personal Expenses

Students are required to allow $1,500-$2,000 to cover stationery, personal clothing, toiletries, sports fees and holiday activities
