Timaru Girls’ High School is a girls’ only school of 490 students.    Senior classes have 15-25 students.

It was founded in 1880 and is a state day and boarding school. Set in attractive park-like grounds Timaru Girls’ High School offers a safe, clean and relaxing learning environment.

The school has a gymnasium, swimming pool, library and drama, art and music rooms.

There are modern technology rooms, computer rooms and science laboratories.
