Careers Education

At Timaru Girls’ High School, the student is at the heart of the Careers Programme. Our aim is to excite, equip and empower the students to
explore career opportunities and make an informed and meaningful pathway decision.

Our Careers Adviser, Jo Shaw, provides students with advice, information resources, arranges visiting speakers, careers events, trips to tertiary institutions and local businesses, as well as work experience opportunities. She assists girls with making high quality CV’s, writing applications for courses, scholarships, jobs and tertiary accommodation, as well as helping set them up for life beyond Timaru Girls'.
