Our school is homed on over five hectares of extensive park like grounds in Cain Street, Timaru.
Timaru Girls' High School facilities and grounds
The facilities are nestled amongst mature trees and gardens that lend the school a unique and serene atmosphere where our girls will be found on breaks and lunchtimes utilising our range of fabulous recreation facilities or simply sitting against a tree trunk and enjoying all that nature has to offer.
Girls have access to school tennis, netball, and basketball courts. The gymnasium, dedicated music practice rooms, a custom-built drama suite and state of the art technology facilities all combine to give our girls a well-balanced mixture of sports and culture.
We are enormously proud of the Nora Dickie hall, which is home to many school assemblies and gatherings, along with providing a wonderful space for our drama and music students to perform in.
