Timaru Girls’ High School PTA Committee
To raise funds to provide additional resources and educational opportunities for students
Mission Statement
To strengthen connections between school and home by welcoming parents, caregivers, and whānau as active partners in supporting our students’ learning and our teachers’ work.
The Timaru Girls’ High School PTA (Parent Teacher
Association) are a group of parent volunteers who work together to fundraise
and build a strong family community within our school.
From ensuring a warm welcome for new families in our school
community to the annual initiatives of subsidising the bus for the year 10 camp, a scholarship for a year 9 student and our Grocery grab sponsored by Countdown. The PTA volunteers are a key part of ensuring our girls “Experience Success” in all their endeavours.
We meet monthly to discuss and implement events and
fund-raising ideas and we are always happy to welcome new members to our
Committee.
